Sonography Lounge Hosts, Lori Green, BA, RDMS, RDCS RVT, and Trisha Reo, RDMS, RVT interview Dr. Timothy Mazzola to discuss Knee Osteoarthritis; Regenerative Medicine, and how diagnostic/interventional ultrasound can play a clinical role.
Dr. Mazzola is triple board certified in Family Medicine, Sports Medicine, and Musculoskeletal Ultrasound.
He practices as a non-operative Regenerative Orthopedic and Sports Medicine specialist at Breakthrough Regenerative Orthopedics in Boulder, Colorado.
He formerly served in the US Air Force as a Team Physician at the US Air Force Academy.
A passionate educator, Dr. Mazzola is a Senior Clinical Instructor at the University of Colorado School of Medicine and has taught Advanced MSK US for many years for various courses. Most recently, he co-authored the chapter “Techniques for Performing Regenerative Procedures for Orthopedic Conditions” in the groundbreaking textbook “Regenerative Treatments in Sports and Orthopedic Medicine.”
He has performed diagnostic and interventional MSK US since 2007, Regenerative medicine since 2009 and precision diagnostic and regenerative injections are the cornerstone of his current practice.
